This page is for NEXUS card members who would like to renew their NEXUS cards. The NEXUS program has a duration of five years and you can begin to renew your NEXUS membership 180 days before the expiration date of your NEXUS card. You can also renew your NEXUS cards having already expired, without starting from the beginning as initial application. The NEXUS card renewal process is similar to the first time NEXUS card application process.
If your personal information such as address, passport, driver license or address history have not changed since the last time when you successfully applied for a NEXUS card, the process is faster, and you will probably not have to attend a new interview.

NEXUS Card Renew Final Steps
Once you receive confirmation from us that your NEXUS membership has been renewed, you need to log in to your Goes account and to pay the $50 CBP fee for background and security checks in order to finalize your renewal application. Please note that regardless of the fact that nothing has changed in the last five years as: address, work place, passport or driver’s license, it is required passing through a process of comprehensive background check. It may take between 1 and 3 months. Having completed this process you will receive a notification to change the status of your NEXUS program membership. If you are conditionally approved, you will be given instructions to schedule your interview at the enrollment center closest to you.
Please note that we cannot guarantee your NEXUS card program approval. You may be denied in case you have a criminal record, an immigration violation or you provided false information on your NEXUS pass renewal application form.
