This page is created for family applications for the NEXUS program. Family application for NEXUS cards offers extra convenience and will save your precious time. In order to take advantage of the benefits of the NEXUS program as a family, it is necessary that each member of your family is a member of this program and owns a NEXUS card. The number of children in the family does not matter as their application is cost-free. To begin the NEXUS family application procedure, please follow our three simple steps.
Any child under 18 is exempt from all costs related to the NEXUS program as long as they apply with at least one paying adult.
NOTE: You can apply as a family via a family application without children (simply avoid the fields for children). The fee and procedure for receiving/renewing a NEXUS card with children under 18 is identical to the one without children.
How to Apply for NEXUS Cards as a Family?
There are only three easy steps you need to follow to begin your NEXUS family application process with us:
- Step 1: Click on the NEXUS Card Family Application button and download the NEXUS family application form. Before you start to fill out the NEXUS family application, please make sure to download it to your device. Only then start filling it. To save the filled out form, select File > Save As and choose a location for your PDF, enter a new name (optional), and then tap Save.
- Step 2: Send the complete NEXUS card family application pack via e-mail to: info@nexus-card.com or to our fax: 1-313-731-1580
- Step 3: Click on the Payment for NEXUS Family Application button to pay the TTS service fee of $125.99USD per adult through CCBill.
NEXUS Family Application Fees
10% discount for every second adult
Your NEXUS card family application includes a $125.99USD service fee (per adult) plus a $50USD government fee (per adult) for background and security inspections. You can pay the service fee via our payment processor CCBill to begin the process. If you are more than one adult, please use the options for combined payment. The $50USD Government fee (per adult) will be paid using the credit card used for your NEXUS family application form.

NEXUS Family Pass Next Steps
Once your NEXUS family application pack and payment has been sent to us, we will assign your documents to one of our agents, and it will be reviewed within 48 hours. You will get a confirmation by an email from our agent that your NEXUS family application has been submitted into the TTP/CBP system based on your family application form. You can get in touch with us at any time with status updates and interview arrangement requests.
Every family member status will be “Pending Review”, which means that your application has been submitted to the CBP and is being reviewed.
When the review process is finalized by the CBP, you will be sent an email in relation to the status of your application. If you have been conditionally approved, you will be invited to visit a NEXUS enrollment center for an interview. You can get in touch with us at any time with status updates and interview scheduling requests.
You will need to finalize your enrollment within 730 days of conditional approval if you don’t want your application to be canceled. In this case, you will be asked to pay again and reapply if you still want to become a member.
Please note that we are unable to guarantee your NEXUS card program approval. There are chances that some applicants may be denied in case they have a criminal record, an immigration violation or have included untrue information on their NEXUS card application forms.

Payment for NEXUS Pass Family Processing Fee
NOTE: You can apply as a family using family application without children (do not fill in the fields for children). The fee and process for getting/renewing a NEXUS card with children under 18 is the same as without children.

This TTS service fee $125.99USD (per adult) is owed to Trusted Traveler Ltd for analyzing and reviewing your family application form, creating your NEXUS profiles, submitting your NEXUS family application to CBP for necessary inspections and checks and organizing your family interview. It furthermore includes status updates and activation of your NEXUS cards.
Once your NEXUS family application is finalized at the TTP system, you will be asked to make a payment for the $50 (per adult) CBP fee for conducting background and security checks as well. The $50 CBP fee for background and security checks will be withdrawn directly from the credit card you provided on your family application form.
