How to I submit an application for a NEXUS card?
There are just 4 steps that you will have to take to apply for NEXUS card with us:
- Step 1: Click the “NEXUS Card Application” button and download NEXUS card application form. Prior to filling out the NEXUS application, please make sure you’ve first downloaded it to your computer or smartphone, after which you can start filling in the required details. Note: To make the payment of the service fee, please include the applicant’s full names. - Step 4: After completing the three steps above, your completed application will be sent to us, together with your payment of the service fee. Your NEXUS pass application form will be inspected in detail for any missing or faulty information as well asfor compliance with current CBP regulations. The $125.99 USD TTS service fee is the one owed to the Trusted Travel Ltd for checking your application form, getting your NEXUS profile set up, sending your information to Customs and Border Authorities in Canada and the USA for background and security examinations and organizing your NEXUS interview. It additionally includes applicationstatus updates and activation of your NEXUS card.
The $50 USD CBP fee is for background and security reviews. It will be withdrawn straight from the credit card you gave us on your application form. (This fee does not apply to child applicants under the age of 18 years).

What are the following steps in your NEXUS application procedure?
Your NEXUS application will be classified with a “Pending Review” status. This means that your application has been submitted to the CBP and is being processed. On average, it takes about 3 to 6 months to receive either a conditional approval or a denial on your eligibility as an trusted traveler member. Sadly, the vetting process cannot be speeded up. With the status change of your NEXUS card application, you will be contacted by an email from CBP/TTP. If you have been conditionally approved, you will be instructed to schedule an interview at the enrollment center in your proximity. It is mandatory to follow the instructions and make sure your interview appointment is scheduled within 730 days at an Enrollment Center.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that you will be approved for the NEXUS card program. You may receive denial in certain cases, like if you have a criminal record, an immigration violation or you gave us inaccurate data on your NEXUS card application form.

What is the NEXUS Card Interview
If NEXUS card applicants are conditionally approved, they will receive an invitation to go to a NEXUS Enrollment Center for an interview. The NEXUS interview lasts for around 15 minutes. However, questions could vary in different enrollment centers. Applicants are questioned by both USA and Canadian customs officers. The questions will be almost the same as those on the NEXUS application form. You could be asked what is the reason for applying for a NEXUS card or to confirm and validate your names and home address. It is vital to respond to all questions sincerely and correctly.
The interviewing agent will explain the rules of the NEXUS program and answer your questions if you have any. Transporting forbidden goods through the border or using the NEXUS lane with passengers who are not NEXUS card holders might jeopardize your status as a trusted traveler and your NEXUS card might be revoked. At the interview the applicants are fingerprinted and photographed. If they plan use their NEXUS cards for air travel they must have an eye scan at a limited amount of NEXUS interview locations that have the eye scanning facility.

If you are enrolling your vehicle in the NEXUS program, please ensure that you bring its registration papers and your driver’s license. The $125.99USD TTS service fee is the fee which is payable to Trusted Travel Ltd for checking your application form, setting up your NEXUS profile, submitting your data to Customs and Border Authorities in Canada and the USA for background and security checks and arranging your NEXUS interview. It also includes status updates and activation of your NEXUS card.
After the completion of your NEXUS application at the TTP system, you will need to pay an additional ($50USD) CBP fee that is designated for the required background and security checks. This fee will be taken from the credit card you provided on your application form. (Child applicants under 18 years of age are not required to pay this $50USD fee).
